Blessings

We enjoyed a nice trip to OH this past weekend. It was great to catch up with our college friends and to meet the newest members of their family. The boys (six of the seven children between us are boys!) loved playing together and got along well.

We enjoyed meeting the church people. They were very warm and friendly despite the chilly temperatures outside! We stayed for quite a while after both services to talk, answer questions, and interact.

It was neat to hear how the Lord has provided for this family's needs in SO many ways. What a confirmation that they are doing the Lord's work. It was truly amazing to hear story after story of God's provision in various areas. They have truly had to learn to live by faith over the past three years as they started this church plant.

We also received a special blessing on Saturday. One of the men in the church approached Jason and told him that his father owns a warehouse where he sells flats of Christian books. He said he was going to call his dad and see if Jason could go over in the afternoon. For those of you who don't know Jason very well (or do not know we have around twenty bins filled with books), my husband adores books. It's a good thing they are inanimate or I would be terribly jealous! Anyway, later in the afternoon he did call and Jason got to go over with the pastor. When he totaled the value of the items he got it was a little over $200. ALL FOR FREE!!!! We'll be able to use some of the things he got for the boys for Christmas. What a blessing!

The Lord gave us safety there and back in spite of the snow we encountered during part of the trip. I did most of the driving because Jason came down with a terrible cold Sunday night (I could actually see bags forming under his eyes while he was preaching) and developed a fever while we were traveling.

Thank you for your continued prayers. A specific prayer request would be for more meetings. Jason is getting lots of no's due to tight finances. Some churches are cutting back on missions giving or cutting missionaries entirely. This is not a great time to be raising support, but I know God knows exactly when we should get to Slovakia. I may have to remind myself of that later on! Our next scheduled meeting is in eastern PA on Dec. 3rd. We will be at the church affiliated with Jason's former seminary, so please be in prayer for that. Thanks!
