More Ways to Save

I may be beating a dead horse with all my recent posts about saving, etc., but I'm trying to do all I can to be extra thrifty. I've always thought of myself as being that way (just ask my husband or R----), but now that I'm no longer employed outside the home giving piano lessons like I was before we moved, I'm trying to think of other creative ways to make our dollars stretch.

I just signed up for free samples at http://www.shespeaks.com/ . It was recommended on moneysavingmom and there were a lot of positive comments about it. It seems they often start out with finger nail polish as the first sample, but hey, who couldn't use a free bottle (as long as it's not a nasty color, I suppose)?

Another e-mail I received this week which piqued my interest was e-miles. It came from being a World Perks member - a frequent flyer club. If you give them profile information, you get miles. If you click on ads and read through them and answer a few questions (nothing difficut) you get miles as well. Once you've earned 500 miles they get put into your World Perks account. It's a great way to add to your miles and keep your account active at the same time. Since we'll be doing lots of traveling in the years to come it pays for us to build up as many as we can. I'm not sure if you can become a part of this without already having a World Perks number or not.

Still interested in anyone else's ideas or helpful sites.
