One of the first Christmases we were married, we helped Jason's grandparents decorate for Christmas - something we did every Christmas when we were living nearby. His grandmom gave us a reindeer she didn't have a place for. Since then we've had it out every Christmas, normally greeting guests as they enter our house. This year is no different, with one exception.
Today we got home from our morning visit to Milwaukee, where Gavin had a dr.'s appt. I let the boys in the house, then went back out to get the mail. As I was walking back to the house I heard, "NO, NO, NO, NO....!", which obviously was not a good sign. I entered to find Peyton holding a little toy shovel, batting at the reindeer and Gavin mortified at the treatment.
The red nose is gone. I have no idea where it flew to or where it landed. So until we discover it and I track down my glue gun, our red nosed reindeer will be a no nosed reindeer. Another memory has been made.

"no-nosed" reindeer has a funny ring to it!
I can see this same thing happening with Savannah and Josiah!
