Some people can see who our children look like right away. Normally people say Gavin looks like Jason and Peyton looks more like me (the chubby face is a sure give-away!). When we were in N.J. for the funeral last January, we were looking through pictures for a video the guys put together. I found some of Jason that if you were to glance at them you would think they were Gavin.
Yesterday while I was working in the basement, I discovered some pictures of my dad when he was little. As I began looking at them it was as if I was looking at B&W pictures of Peyton. I brought them upstairs and showed them to Jason. Sure enough, he thought the same thing. There are certainly some differences, but the hair, facial shape, and body structure are all the same. I think my dad will be a little flattered to know this.
This is a great reason to have two children. If at first you don't succeed (in having the first one look like you!) try, try again!
