Teeny, Tiny

This was the kitchen in our apartment. Lest you think it is large by the four pictures, look again. You will see there is overlap between each one. There are no dishwashers or ovens in the apartments, unless you live where foreign businessmen live. All the friends we visited had purchased stand-alone "ovens", which can fit one 9X13 pan at a time. As you can tell, everything is tiny - the refrigerator is about half the size of those in the States, the stove top has two burners, and the sink has only one washing area. Storage space is also at a minimum. For being the great cooks that they are, I have no idea how the people here manage to cook numerous dishes all at the same time, while still maintaining their sanity. I get a little stressed out when my countertops are covered with items after a baking endeavor!
