Yesterday we received another shocker, an almost three-month late first birthday present of sorts. From the hospital where Peyton was born. A bill for $975.00. I wanted to cry, but I reminded myself that worrying about it wasn't going to change anything and I started thinking about how much we could pay on it each month.
I tried four different phone numbers for the billing dept., but couldn't get anyone, so I left messages on two different people's phones. This morning at 9:00 someone called and told Jason it was an old invoice (even though the date on the bill said 7/27/06) and that the balance is at zero. Thank the Lord! I still don't know how an invoice I just received yesterday can be old, but I'm not complaining.
Last night I read I Corinthians 10:26 in my devotional reading. "For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof." I'm glad God didn't have to help us provide for this bill, but at the same time I'm thankful He gave me this verse while we still thought we were going to have to pay it.
