The boys and I were discussing how many animals, blankets, etc. they could take with them on a trip. They always try to get me to let them take more than one and this time was no different.
P asked, "Can we take all of our animals?"
I surprised him by answering, "Yes." Pause. "But then you can't go. If all your animals go there won't be room for you."
At first he seemed excited about the prospect of staying home by himself, but then he suddenly said, "I wouldn't have anybody to talk to."
Yes, folks, he loves to have someone with whom he can talk. It's good motivation for learning Slovak at school!
