You Know You're on Pre-field When....

...you find children's menus from hither and yon all over the van.

...you have a collection of various colors of crayons from various restaurants.

...your kids know the names of restaurants even though they can't read the sign.

...your 4 yr. old knows the word "interstate".

...you've eaten out so many times you WANT to eat at home.

...you drive past a hotel and someone says, "I remember that hotel." (though you've really never been there before!)

...your 6 yr. old asks how long a trip is and is relieved when it's only 2 hrs.

...your children pick up every conceivable sickness or malady known to man.

...you don't have to make a list to go on a trip anymore b/c you've done it so many times.

...the suitcases never get put away b/c they're always being emptied or filled.

...your kids critique the beds at the hotel.

...you're gone more days than you're at home.

...you have a collection of soaps and shampoos from hotels.

...your 1 yr. old knows how to shake hands.

...your children automatically say their name and age when someone asks them a question.

...you know where the cheapest gas is in the next state.

...you know where to stop and eat along I-80.

...you know how much further it is to get home from a landmark (there is a bridge that crosses I-80 that is just under 2 hrs. from home).

...your children learn left and right from the GPS.

How funny! Though I don't think I'd ever get tired of eating out. :)
