Honesty Is the Best Policy

At this stage of life (4 yrs. old), Gavin had figured out how to lie to stay out of trouble. He soon learned though, that lying to stay out of trouble got him into double trouble. Slowly it stopped.

Peyton, however, is exactly the opposite. He is either too innocent or too naive (not necessarily a bad thing) to tell a lie. If you want to know what happened, ask Peyton.

Last night as Jason was putting the boys to bed, he saw a toy in Gavin's bed. He told him to get it and any others out before he checked for them. They aren't supposed to have toys other than their stuffed animals in bed.

Gavin began to reach under his pillow, so Jason asked him why he was looking there. Gavin informed him this is where he puts the toys. Jason then asked why.

Peyton then joined the conversation, "So Mommy and Daddy don't see them!"
