Disadvantaged

This morning I am home from church - so is the entire family. Two of the three family memebers who are sick are the drivers in the family, so that means everyone stays home. Jason and I have had a terrible virus for the past week or so. Our sore throats are nearly gone, but we still have coughs and stuffy noses. Jason has been fighting an earache so I'm wondering if he has an ear infection. I now have an infection in my eye that Gavin and Peyton had earlier and the baby now has as well. It's not pink eye, but it might as well be.

It is definitely a disadvantage to be the mom when sickness ravages your family. It's no wonder moms often get the sickness too.

1. You are wiping snotty noses and goopy eyes.
2. You get coughed and sneezed on.
3. You get touched with germy hands.
4. You can't take a nap whenever you feel like it to get better.
5. You get woken up in the night with sick children.
6. You are on dirty Kleenex patrol.
7. Etc, etc., etc.

I actually think I got this virus from Jason b/c the boys never got the same cold. At least not yet, which is a minor miracle since Gavin always seems to get any cold that affects the lungs. They just had the goopy eye and runny nose thing. I accidentally drank out of Jason's glass last Saturday night which I think sealed my fate.

You can chalk this entry up to being bored (and missing church) and having no desire to do anything productive around the house (at least it's Sunday so I don't feel too guilty!).
