Current Is Not So Current

As you prepare to order Christmas cards, gifts, paper, stationary and at some point new checks or address labels, do not order from Current. I normally don't tell people to stay away from a certain company, but enough is enough.

I ordered some cards, checks, and address labels on August 21st. Yes, August. I just got my checks a week and a half ago. And they were printed incorrectly. We now live on Us Highway rather than US Highway. Nice. I still don't have my address labels. Yes, from an order placed in August.

They say it's the result of system upgrade difficulties. I hear about it every time I call. And yes, I've been calling a LOT. They tell me I'll get a call from so and so or receive this item on such a such a day, and it rarely occurs. So I keep calling. I finally got 25% off my order and an extra box of checks. Not much of a consolation when you don't HAVE them. And when you finally get them they're WRONG. To top it all off the customer service rep didn't believe me when I told her they were wrong. She told me the check specialist would call me and she didn't. So I called back last Wednesday to find out the service rep never put the message through that my checks were incorrect. It's now Tuesday and I'm currently waiting (no pun intended) while another service rep talks to the check specialist to find out what happened. There is no evidence that they have been re-ordered correctly. My labels were re-ordered on the 1st - nearly two weeks after I was told they would be re-ordered.

She just came back on and told me the checks have now been re-ordered correctly. I asked for a refund on my labels and they don't want to give it to me. They offered me a $5 coupon - as if I plan on ordering from Current again. I'm now waiting for a supervisor.......I just talked to the supervisor and got a refund on the labels. Finally. I now have to wait another week for the corrected checks and two weeks for the labels.

Although I was told today they have scrapped the new upgrade (finally, a good idea!) and gone back to the old system, that's not much consolation. Word to the wise - if you want your order, don't order from Current.
