Well, embarrassing as this is to write, the two older boys and I have lice. Source unknown. Infection date foggy (at least two weeks ago). Spread - well let's just say we've shared the love. My mom has it as well as one of my nephews (thankfully no one else in the their family seems infected). My mom attended a women's retreat and a family reunion this past weekend, so who really knows.
What can a person find humorous in the midst of this? Well, not much, I'll admit. There's not much fun about vacuuming, bagging, washing, drying, spraying, staying up late, washing, drying, picking, scrubbing, examining, changing bedding, washing, drying, treating, washing and drying some more, and finding more eggs just when you think you've gotten them all.
BUT, Sunday night as I was going through Peyton's hair around eleven or midnight and he was crying and sobbing for all he was worth, he kept saying, "Did you crack the eggs, Mommy? Did you crack the eggs?"
At least he gave me something to laugh about.

Awwww, poor Peyton. That was funny. You have to laugh instead of crying. I hope you finally got some good sleep.

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this, Dellie! What a pain. At least it is nothing that will actually make you sick or hurt you. Just a nuisance. Peyton is hilarious - keep cracking those eggs! ;-)
