Our church has been such a blessing and encouragement to us. They made us meals when I was on bed rest and again after Dawson was born, I received visits, cards, and phone calls from some of the ladies, and several people have taken the boys off my hands for a morning (during bed rest and the week after Dawson was born).
This past Sunday night they blessed us again with an all church pie fellowship. We presented our future ministry to Slovakia during the Sunday night service. After church we went to the gym where there were tables covered with slices of pie and cookies. There was also a huge table piled high with gifts for Dawson. We knew the ladies from the Bible study I attend had put an announcement in the bulletin for a "shower", but we had no idea we would be showered upon so well!
We received money and gift cards, a few clothing items/bibs/burp cloths, baby food, infant cereal, juice bottles, diaper ointment, 905 diapers in sizes 1-4, and over 2,100 wipes! A couple people even included items for the boys which made them feel special.
On June 1st the members will be voting on whether or not they should be our sending church. We are truly hoping the outcome is positive, but above all we want God's will in the matter. He knows what we need more than we do, so we look to Him to direct and provide in this area.
