Much Ado About Nothing

This entry is probably fairly pointless, but it came to mind yesterday.

After an extra long stint at the dr.'s office and hospital, I decided to stop at Taco Bell for a supreme gordita (only 99 cents!). I've been craving Taco Bell since I haven't eaten it in over four months so I decided to treat myself!

Anyway, as I was thoroughly enjoying my lunch, I made sure to put back all the little tomatoes that kept falling out. I used to detest tomatoes in anything - even to the point of only eating BL's instead of BLT's. Now I like them in subs, on tacos, etc.

It made me think about some of the vegetables I've actually learned to like as an adult, such as tomatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower. I also eat peas and corn - still don't LOVE them (except for Grandpop's fresh garden veggies), but I can stand them. Which vegetables and/or fruits have you taught yourself to eat and/or like?

My favorite is the cheesy gordita crunch, and when we first arrived back stateside, that is what I craved -- especially as I was toward the end of my pregnancy. But I was so sorely disappointed in my meal that I haven't been back since. *sigh* Oh, I miss Taco Bell! Well, actually I miss the Taco Bell in JAPAN... the franchises here just don't seem to taste very good (well?) at all!!! :(

A little off-topic ramble for ya, lol.

Anyway, I used to hate mushrooms, carrots, and bell peppers and now I LOVE them! I'm not quite sure what brought about the change. :)

brocoli

Never thought in a million years I'd enjoy the stuff - but now I enjoy it. (Only steamed/cooked though - not raw)

Hmmm, I notice my sister didn't respond to this post. Yeah - we'll see what veggies she'll actually eat!!
