....packed up our entire life.
....said good-bye to friends.
....left stuff behind for lack of room.
....been blessed by three people in particular who helped us tremendously during and after the moving process.
....traveled over 500 miles with a 24 foot truck, a mini van with a car top carrier, and a trailer.
....unpacked the necessities (or tried to anyway).
....tried to determine the location of many items (and still working on this!).
....wrapped up a variety of loose ends, including paying to get our left-over garbage picked up (after the neighborhood ripped open the bags to go through everything!).
....got new driver's licenses.
....attended a potential new church.
....spent time hunting (okay, just Jason and my dad - but I did make the hunters some turkey rice soup!).
....drove two hours total to find a Best Buy for a return.
....got DSL (today!).
....learned what a small world it really is when you live in the country.
....experienced firsthand how exciting a trip to a Walmart can be - even though it takes 30 min. to get there!
....breathed in the fresh, crisp country air.
....took a trip to the second hand store for some "getting dirty" clothes for the boys.
....learned that it is essential to combine errands, shopping, etc. in order to save time (hopefully, though not always) and gas.
....nearly hit a dead oppossum after a car coming the other way shot it our direction.
....recognized the "culture shock" we are experiencing now will aid us on the mission field.

Wow, where did you guys move to?!? Sounds like you're in northern Wisconsin. :) Get your rest amidst all the busyness! That's hilarious that your neighborhood ripped open all your trash bags!
The one that I noticed the most was that you got DSL! Yay!!
Rebecca
What a full two weeks... can't imagine what deputation will be like! But, one day at a time, right? Glad you are getting settled and doing well out there. :)
