We now know what our third child is! I was supposed to have an ultrasound this coming Monday, but because of a little spotting, the doctor told me to have it done this past Tuesday. I was 15 weeks, so we didn't know exactly what it would be like since we never had one at that stage with either of the boys.
Right away we could see the baby moving around. He stuck one of his arms out and the technician took a picture (and I made sure to request a copy before we left). She started taking all the necessary measurements, including his head which was only 3 cm across! In my other pregnancies we didn't have an ultrasound until around 20 weeks and by then the baby is already a little stuck and can't move around as much. It was neat to see the baby at a stage when he could move and squirm. I had told her we wanted to know the gender if she could tell what it was for sure, without guessing. She went to the appropriate location and I knew what it was right away. I said, "That looks like a boy." The tech replied, "Yes, it is definitely a boy!"
They couldn't see any obvious reason for the bleeding, but with my history it's not a shock that it happened. I have been trying to be more careful when packing, etc., but I must admit it's hard to be restricted when moving! Thankfully my mom is flying in on Tuesday which will be a huge help.
I have begun to feel the baby move sporadically, usually after I've just eaten. It's not really bumps or kicks right now, more of a light tickle. I'm sure I'll feel more and more in the coming weeks.
I think I'll be resorting to maternity clothes soon. I'm beginning to look like an extremely chubby stomached woman, so it's about time to switch to maternity shirts. Maybe then people will know I am pregnant, not just gaining weight around the midriff! It will also give me the opportunity to unbutton things without showing off my midriff!
Now the quest for a name begins, but as before, it will be a secret until delivery day!

What? We have to wait until April to find out the name? LOL, I'll go crazy... well, since we're not getting any names, will we at least get some pictures? *ahem* ;)
Doesn't it feel great to know what you're having? I always wonder how people can stand to wait to find out, LOL! I'm just too impatient for that. Congratulations, again!
Congrats on the boy discovery! How fun! Take good care of yourself during these busy days and keep us posted on how the pregnancy is going.
