All went well for Peyton's surgery this morning. I am thankful to report that he did fine with the anesthesia and the surgery was successful.
All of the nurses and doctors were genuinely kind and helpful and we felt very comfortable with all of them. I was especially glad to see the anesthesiologist had gray hair! I know that sounds funny, but I knew he had lots of experience under his belt, which made me feel much better. The urologist told me they would take good care of him and they did.
He has a prescription to help him with the pain. We can definitely tell when he is getting close to needing a dose. He is now resting comfortably on the couch and we will be administering the medicine every four hours until tomorrow at least.
He is only going to the bathroom a little bit at a time because it hurts when he goes. I am hoping that maybe he will be relaxed enough when he is sleeping to go then. Each day it will get better, though he probably doesn't think so right now!
Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray that he will heal well (and quickly!).

Praise the Lord! I'm glad things went smoothly. Now he just needs to mend up. I'll pray that he rests & responds well to the pain meds. How are you feeling?
Praying - for all of you! And congrats on the new little one!
