.....Peyton went pee!
That's probably gross, but when you're a mom who's been changing diapers non-stop for the past four years (and for one year changing two sets!), that's an exciting development.
Peyton has sat on the "Peyton potty", normally due to his own suggestion, several times with no success. He is willing to sit for a few seconds, but has no idea what to do next. At lunch he told me, "stinky, poopy" so I knew he had to go. His diaper was clean, so I decided to put him on the potty to see if he would go. He sat for a little while, but kept wanting to get up. I decided to let him up only to discover he had wet in the potty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (representing my excitement!)
I cheered and cheered, gave him a treat, and called Daddy to get some extra praise from him. Even Gavin said he was proud of him! Peyton was pretty proud of himself too!
He did have to go poopy though. Not long after I put him down for his nap I had to go in to calm down some little boy shenanigans. The "stinky, poopy" smell was definitely there!
Oh well, Edison didn't invent the light bulb overnight!

Congratulations! The end of the diaper changing tunnel is approaching! We are working on it at our house too! Some days are great - other days, well . . . I guess patience is in order!
