Home

We are now back home attempting to reorganize our lives and jump back into our normal routines. So far I've been working to catch up on e-mail and reading blogs, unpacking our suitcases, and finding all the dirty clothes hidden here and there.

We arrived in Pittsburgh a little after four on Thursday. I was thankful to be done traveling. We reunited with the boys, ate dinner, then went to bed around 9:00. We had been awake for 23 hours. It felt so good to sleep for a full night!

Friday morning we packed everything up, visited two of my grandparents, then ate a late lunch with my mom before leaving. Where we ate was partly on our way home, which helped. We left PA around 4:00 (Eastern time) and got home around 11:00 (Central time). The trip was mainly uneventful, though we did experience heavy traffic through Chicago. We discovered we were going through downtown just as all the fans from a White Sox game were entering the freeway.

I certainly enjoyed crawling into our bed last night and snuggling in. I got another good night of sleep so hopefully I'll be over jet lag in another day or so. I find it a lot easier to deal with jet lag this direction than heading the other way.

I've uploaded all our digital pictures so I will work to get some posted on here. It might take me a little while!

Yay! Glad you're safely home! Good job on getting the pics up, too. I still need to finish blogging Hawaii. I hope your jet lag is better & I'll continue to pray for the Lord's guidance in your lives. Oh, & I'm going to get a check to you this week for August. I'm so excited & good job on the b 'n b!
