I started getting a tickle in my chest on Thursday. By that night I had a mild sore throat and the next morning, a worsening cough. After seeing things in my throat that I didn't want to see on Saturday night, I decided to head to the Acute Care Center on Sunday morning. Unfortunately the rapid strep test came back negative, which meant no antibiotics for me. At least then I would have known I'd be feeling better soon. The dr. did send the swab out to the lab, but the nurse said the results wouldn't be back until Wednesday. That could be interesting since I'm flying out of the country on Wednesday! I'm hoping they'll have the results before that so if I do need to get a prescription I can get it before I have to leave! The diagnosis was an upper respiratory infection and pharyngitis, both viral.
So I've been resting as much as possible. As mush as is possible when leaving for a trip tomorrow! I'm trying to rest what little voice I have left as much as I can. I've been sucking on fruit popsicles and cough/sore throat drops. I've not been doing much eating. The thought almost makes me shudder.
So please pray that I will recover quickly so the flight and jet lag don't have to be any more challenging!

Oh no! I was going to call, but I'll just let your rest. I hope that you're able to get everything wrapped up and ready to go and get enough rest before you leave. I've been thinking of you & wanting to call, but I've just been swamped lately with no time! I'll look forward to talking with you when you get home.
