It's Beginning to Look a Lot....

.....like Christmas. Well, at least if you live in the midwest. I'm not sure how many states were affected (or have yet to be) by the snow storm, but ours was! We have at least three inches out there, maybe four. My daffodils, which were already drooping from the chilly nights, are now buried under a blanket of white. I'm afraid they'll never recover. At least the tulips are still safe in their green cocoon, though I don't know if that is enough protection or not.

Jason got the car stuck in the yard this afternoon (don't ask). I went out to offer assistance as I observed grass and dirt being thrown everywhere. It took some digging and an old door under the front tire to finally oust it from its spot. We'll definitely be purchasing some grass seed from Walmart when all of this decides to melt.

It will melt, won't it?

I certainly hope so! It was snowing over here, too, only it's the really wet kind that doesn't stick except on cars and the rooftops. Ugh, what happened to spring?! I was so looking forward to pulling out my summer skirts and sandals!!! I hope your tulips will be all right :(

Guess what...we had 5 1/2 inches of snow in Kansas a week ago. We spent Easter visiting our folks in KS. I had a tea party for my nieces so I was serving tea in sandals while it was snowing. Thankfully we were indoors!!

All I can say is, it had better melt! No snow here, but it's supposed to be cold (low 40's) tomorrow w/ rain & wind. The bad news is that I have to run 13 miles. No can do on a treadmill so I'd better be ready to rough it!

I had your nephew Lucas in the nursery last night - he's such a cutie and such a Rice!

We got sooo much rain until the overnight and then it turned to snow. That left a bunch of slush in our flooded part of the world. But - we are thankful for the 2 hour delay that came as a result!
Thanks for sending the storm our way!
