I know it should really be pickles, but I don't have any! I do have lots of little pea seedlings growing towards the sun. I was excited to discover the rows of seeds I planted have grown successfully. I am NOT a big pea fan, but eating fresh peas right out of the garden has a completely different taste. They haven't gotten all starchy tasting from sitting too long in a warehouse, truck, or grocery store. Hopefully I got them in early enough to have a good crop. It all depends on how quickly the weather turns hot and dry. That spells the end for not only the peas, but also the spinach and lettuce (which are also growing).
I haven't given the garden much attention lately since we were so busy getting ready for Peyton's birthday party. My dad did water it for me on Saturday since that was one task he could help me with! I will have to check it out more today to see what the frost left living and what I need to replace.
