Let It Snow...

.....let it snow, let it snow.

Actually if the snow we already received would just like to stay put for the winter and not have any other Susie snowflakes join them, we'd be more than pleased. The foot plus we received last Friday, and subsequently had to snow blow and shovel, was very beautiful, but also heavy.

Gavin kept asking us when we were going to go outside. Once outside he was thrilled to play, despite losing his boot three times. Peyton on the other hand had difficulty moving due to all the layers I dressed him in. He enjoyed being pulled on a sled up and down the driveway, but other than that I think he would have preferred staying warm inside.

Because we also helped a couple elderly neighbors with their snow, Jason ended up being outside for over four hours! On his birthday, no less! Hopefully the breakfast in bed I made him (for the first time ever - shame on me!) and the buffet restaurant we went to that night helped to make it a little more cheery for him.

The snow seems to have ushered in frigid temperatures, down in the single digits at night. BRRR! It is freezing. Winter was slow in coming, but once it came, it came with a vengeance. Our friends from Malaysia sure are getting their winter weather exposure!

Tim was shoveling forever, also. It took four hours to do just our driveway - not the sidewalk or the approach because thankfully our neighbor with a heavy duty 8hp snowblower did that part for us.

The snow was so wet and heavy that our little wimpy snowblower couldn't handle it. I felt so sorry for him having to shovel it all by hand.
