A Poem

Babies in Asia are born one by one,
One is a daughter, another a son.
Fifty-five thousand are born every day,
Who will show them the only true way?

Religion is banished, few churches approved,
How will the hearts of the people be moved?
The Christians are punished, banished, and jailed
in hopes that their message will ultimately fail.

Yet with purpose and vigor they bravely move on,
spreading the good news of God's only Son.
On towards the east they steadily press,
facing even more trials than in the past.

What of us here at home, us in the west;
the ones who have most certainly been blessed?
With peace and prosperity, safety and wealth,
churches and Bibles, security and health.

What can we do as we hear of the needs,
point to others instead and refuse to heed?
A billion are living, having no hope,
large is the task, broad is the scope.

Will God call you to pray, perhaps to give,
so all of those babies can truly live?
Where lies your treasure, below or above;
will it burn up in fire or live on in love?

That is the most amazing poem. It made me cry. You should use it in your presentation somehow. It contains such a moving message.

btw, I didn't know you were such an accomplished poet! :)
