We didn't actually make a formal summer fun list for 2015 since we were heading back to the States, but I did want to record some of the highlights so we can remember them in years to come. I'm well aware this is just a tad late!
*Swimming in three different swimming pools.
*Swimming in the ocean three times.
*Attending two Phillies' baseball games (They lost both times, unfortunately).
*Spending time with both sides of our families.
*Enjoying a water gun fight with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
*Eating ice cream and foot-long hot dogs.
*Enjoying an evening with some of our personal supporters.
*Attending a family reunion for my maternal grandmother's side of the family.
*Watching fireworks on the 4th of July with my mom's side of the family.
*Checking books out of the library. (When you haven't done it for over two years it's a highlight!)
*Reading to the dogs at the library.
*Running my first 5k in the town my dad was born in and with a time under 30 minutes. (earlier races were 4.2 and 4.3)
*Riding 4-wheelers at Uncle Ed's and Grandpop Steve's. (for the guys)
*Eating several Thanksgiving dinners with both sides of the family and some friends.
*Spending time with our special friends, the Allens, who were home on furlough.
*Spending time with family in PA, MD, & NJ.
*Visiting four supporting churches.
*Seeing cousins we hadn't seen in almost four years.
*Camping, swimming, and fishing with Nana & Gips (for the boys)
*Shopping and eating at Chipotle. (a day out for mom & dad)
*Biking around a pretty lake. (for mom & dad)
It was a really great six weeks - busy, but great. I'm so thankful we got the chance to have this mid-term break because not everyone gets that chance. We made lots of great memories and had good times with family and friends that helped us dive into the second half of our first term.
