Rewarding Moments

Just in the last week we have begun experiencing some truly rewarding parenting moments. Dawson has begun smiling and cooing at us. Of course all babies' smiles are cute, but with his two dimples, I would have to say his is even cuter in my biased opinion. It is cute to hear him making baby noises, especially since it wasn't that long ago that we only heard grunts. :)

He is doing really well at night. Last night I fed him around 9:00 and he didn't get up until 5:00. That is the longest stretch he has done yet, although he has done quite a few 6 and 7 hour stretches as well. It is so nice to only have to get up once for a feeding. They are also a lot quicker these days so I'm able to get back to sleep within a half hour rather than forty-five minutes or an hour as before.

He is starting to grab at toys on his play mat. I'm not sure how purposeful it is, but once one of the toys hits his hand he is able to hold on for a little while. He is also beginning to put his hand in his mouth more.

I can hardly believe he is already six weeks old and will be seven weeks on Monday. Where is the time going?
