After I became pregnant I read an idea in the Family Fun magazine about making a count down chain for pregnancy. In this way the children can visualize how much longer it will be.
The lady who sent in the idea did the number of days, but I decided to go with weeks. We started with a chain of 28 links. We are now down to 9!
The other night after we had torn off #10, Gavin said something like this:
"When we get to one I'm going to rip it off and the baby will be all big."
I realized at that moment that he honestly thinks the baby will magically appear when we rip off the number one. That could be a problem.
