This past Saturday we all went out to dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday, which was Sunday. On the long way home, Peyton suddenly announced that he had to go potty. For a little boy who has expressed very little interest in going on the potty, which was rather unexpected (and ill-timed).
When we got home I put him on the potty, assuming it was probably too late. Alas, it was not too late and he produced his first poo-poo in the potty. I was of course elated and cheered and praised and encouraged for all I was worth.
Then on Monday I changed three dirty diapers. Potty training certainly is an up and down experience!
