My appointment was rather uneventful other than the fact they couldn't find my lab or ultrasound results. Eventually the results were faxed in. They had told me they would call if they found anything amiss so I just figured everything was normal, not that they didn't get them to begin with!
Due to the ultrasound results my due date was moved back to April 29th, which is what I had expected. That's what I set my counter to, so I was already prepared! My cycles are abnormally long and different each month, so it was not a shock in the least.
Unfortunately it was too early to hear a heartbeat. I'll have to wait four more weeks for that. I had thought about taking Gavin with me so he could hear it, but decided against it. It's a good thing I did because he would have been bored!
I haven't gained any weight. I actually lost one pound, which didn't surprise me either since I had noticed that on my own scale. I never lost weight with the boys and am hoping the baby is surviving okay on cereal, pasta, fruit snacks, and supplemental breakfast drinks! I have eaten a few real meals, but they've been few and far between. I often want to eat, but then I open the refrigerator and see all the sights and smell all the smells and I close the door as quickly as I can! If all my food was prepared for me it wouldn't be so bad, BUT....., I'll just say the raw pork chops I tried to season on Sunday sent me to the bathroom. The nurse practitioner gave me a sample for B-natal, a new over the counter vitamin supplement that comes in lozenges and lollipops. I tried the apple lozenge on the way home (the smell of the office bathroom was haunting me!) and it was pretty good. I stopped at a pharmacy to give them the information so they could order it for me. It should be in tomorrow afternoon. The pharmacist was all excited about it, but disappointed it hadn't come out earlier (she's 5 mos. pregnant). BTW, MA, your pharmacy is listed as one of the places where it can be ordered, so you might see some women coming in with hope on their faces in the coming weeks! The n.p. also gave me a different brand of prenatal vitamins to try since the others made me sick. Hopefully that will help too.
Thanks for the well wishes, ladies!

I didn't know you were pregnant!?! CONGRATULATIONS! Hope the first trimester rushes by quickly for you!
Btw, why'd you have an ultrasound so early?
I'll keep my eyes & ears open for these new vitamins. Anything new is kind of fascinatig to me. Who would have ever thought that I would enjoy reading package inserts?
I'm glad your appointment went well. Such great news!
The reason I had an u/s is because my cycles are long (sometimes around 40 days) and vary in length. They were basing my date on my LMP, but I knew it was probably wrong. When she did my exam she agreed I was still early so she ordered one to get the due date right. It's a good thing b/c they moved it back a whole week!
