The evening was gorgeous, with sunlight shining down on the outdoor wedding.
The groom was decked out, complete with his spiked mohawk (that he'll regret 20 yrs. from now).
The bride was beautiful and the bridesmaids were adorned with brown and pink dresses.
The three piece instrumental ensemble was impossible to hear, but the piano music was relaxing.
The food was great - the best filet I've had in a long time. The dessert was delectable too, though we didn't get a piece of the cake.
The best part about it? We didn't pay a thing and we weren't invited by the bride and groom!
This past Saturday night an older couple from our church invited us out to dinner. They took us to a nice restaurant nearby where we had never eaten. The restaurant has a little courtyard which is observable from the dining room where people have weddings and banquets. We had a table right next to the window, so we got to watch the entire wedding through the glass! I must admit I did feel somewhat like a wedding crasher even though we didn't eat their food!
The dinner was scrumptious - complete with rolls, crackers and dips, a spinach salad with a yummy dressing, twice backed potatoes and filet mignon. The steak was one of the best I have ever had. They suggested we buy dessert as well (which if I had known that I wouldn't have finished my steak!). We ordered an apple dessert. It was a pie crust wrapped around apple filling with cinnamon ice cream and whipped cream on top. It was garnished with strawberry wedges. Yum!
We certainly felt spoiled and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know this couple better.

You're making me drool! I LOVE having a well-cooked steak at a good restaurant. Bonus that you were able to check out a wedding!
