Last week Gavin surprised me a little by making this statement...
"I want a sister."
Where did that come from? I had a sneaking suspicion and when I mentioned it to Jason he thought the same thing. For VBS we had an evangelist's family come in to help run the program. They have one son and two girls. The girls played with the boys, so apparently Gavin thought it might be nice to have one of his own.
Jason had to remind him that if he ever gets a sister she will start out as a baby and always be younger than him. Some day I may be hunting for this entry to show him he asked for her!

That's hilarious! Being a little sister myself, I am glad to see that at such a young age he sees the benefit of having a little sister around! What a cute kid - give him a squeeze for me...see you in 3 days!!! yay!
