What a Turkey!

Last night we had a pizza and bowling night with five teens, including one first time visitor. We had a good group and a nice time.

Gavin got to bowl for the first time. He was pretty excited about it, but didn't seem too worried whether or not the pins fell, or even watching to see if they did or not. With help, but no bumpers, he bowled 24 and 30.

My first game I did extremely poorly. I only got 75 points! I think that is one of the worst games I have ever had. In spite of the fact I still managed to tie one of the other girls on my team for first place, I was a little embarrassed. The next game I was determined to improve. Four spares and four strikes later, I reached a new, all-time high of 171!!!! Three of my strikes were in a row, so I got my first turkey ever. I was pretty excited and the girls on my team seemed just about as happy as I was (maybe only because they wanted to beat Pastor Jason's team, which BTW, had Gavin on it). We still managed to lose both games to them.

I'm still glorying in my success, but certainly not gloating! :)
