Well Deserved Gift
I must admit the little gift my son Peyton gave to me today was well deserved. Though unintentional, unplanned, and of no real expense to him, it was heartfelt nonetheless.
At the end of lunch, I decided to "stuff" one more piece of cooked carrot into Peyton's mouth. He has interest in eating table food, but has a hard time getting his little arms across the tray to pick it up. I thought I would be helpful. This in and of itself was not the problem. The problem ensued when I decided, ignorantly, to raise him high into the air and tip him forward.
He regifted the carrot, by bestowing it to me. His thoughtfulness was very apparent as it was unchewed and in order to save me from having to catch it - since my hands were busy holding him - he deposited it nicely down my shirt and into "you know what". I only have female readers, right? I must say his spit/eye coordination is coming along nicely.
