Big Ears!

I have come to the conclusion that Gavin has big ears, which in turn seems to be producing a big mouth. Yesterday morning I was giving both boys baths before we had to leave for the airport. I got Peyton out and said something to him, which I don't remember. For some reason, Gavin responded with, "Is he an idiot?", even though I don't see how anything I could have said would have provoked that response. I was fairly shocked! So of course we had to have a chat about that not being a nice word.

After we picked up dad from work on our way to the airport I asked him about it. The day before he had been talking to my uncle outside while Gavin drank his soymilk and ate some crackers nearby. We aren't sure who the offending person was, possibly both of them, but dad thought maybe he had referred to someone that way and both my parents said my uncle likes to use that word a lot to refer to people. So then my dad proceeds to say something like, "...... uses 'that word' (meaning idiot) and moron." Hence the introduction of yet another word I'd rather not have Gavin use! I'm sure I'll be lecturing him about "moron" next week.
