Finished, for Now!

With planting, that is. I took Gavin out this morning and planted the rest of the flowers I had. I still need some for a couple hanging baskets, but I'm actually still debating about whether or not to fill them. They don't hold water well and the plants always die mid-July or early August. If we do go to candidate school for two weeks in July they will be toast for sure. We planted sunflower seeds along the back fence in the garden. They are supposed to be all different sizes and colors, so they should be pretty. I've never tried them before so I thought I would give them a shot. Maybe they'll attract some nice birds. We also planted a row of snow peas between the rows of cauliflower. We've always wanted to try them, but never could find the seeds (until last summer - hopefully they are still good).

Something was digging in my garden and brought up some bean seeds. Thankfully they hadn't stated growing yet, but I saw one was starting to split. I found a nut shell near the hole, so I think it may have been a squirrel. GGGGRRRRR! The slugs have inflicted minor damage, but nothing terrible so far. Arlene gave me an idea for a slug "trap" so I might try that this week.

Okay, enough about my garden before I bore everyone to tears! I'll try to take a picture at some point and see if I can post it. Last time I tried to post pictures it said they were too big - even though the other ones I posted were from the same camera and program.
