....but cricket fighting? This man, who allowed us in his home during a hutong tour, shared about one of his passions - cricket fighting. He told us how he catches them, cares for them, feeds them, weighs them, cleans up after them, and fights them (not for money, of course). In one of the pictures he is holding a certificate he earned for being the top cricket fighter in 2000. Highly interesting, but not a hobby I'll be taking up any time soon!

Yes, very interesting indeed... In case you're wondering, I've never seen this in Japan. I think I'll ask my mom, though, and see if maybe they practice this hobby in other areas?
