Yes, we finally made it home. After ten airline flights, three train trips, countless subway, bus, and taxi rides, seventeen days, and numerous places, people, and experiences, we are home. We got in a little before seven o'clock last night.
So far my main goals for accomplishing things have been sorting through mail, unpacking, laundry, and taking care of the boys. Jason is off to church to prepare for tomorrow and I'm holding down the fort at home.
I am having a rough time with jet lag this time. When we arrived in Czech we had seven hours to adjust, then six more when we arrived in Asia. After two or three days we were feeling pretty good, though tired from all our busyness. Coming back, we are now adjusting to thirteen hours all at once, with a severe lack of sleep. With the time change tonight, we will have another hour to adjust to. Yikes! I didn't get to bed until 1:30 Thursday night b/c our flight into Pittsburgh was delayed and then we had to drive an hour and a half to my parents' house. My eyes popped open at 6:00 and I couldn't get back to sleep. Last night I went to bed at 9:15 and woke up at 3:00. I caught up on e-mail until 5:00, fell back to sleep around 5:30, then slept until the boys got up a little after 7:00. Hopefully tonight will be better, though some people say it takes one day for every hour of adjustment. If that's the case, I won't be feeling better for two more weeks!
I will do my best to get caught up in the next week or so. We'll see how it goes!

We are in the same boat on this one Adele! And your right, the time change did NOT change things for the better! :( I didn't have a hard time adjusting to the time in Japan, but have had a killer time adjusting now that I'm home. :( Three in the morning must be the magic number, b/c that's when I was waking up. And then there were a few nights where I "thought" it was 3, and when I looked at the clock it was only midnight and I was WIDE awake like I had slept all night! :( *sniff sniff* Those were rough days. If it really does take one day for every hour of difference you're adjusting to, we're both in BIG trouble! Of course, I'm half way done. ;)
